Les bouleversements de notre scolarité mettent en difficulté de nombreux-ses étudiant-e-s. Suite à un sondage en ligne ayant récolté plus de 170 réponses, nous avons mis en évidence les problèmes massifs liés aux modalités de continuité pédagogique prévues par l'administration. Ceux-ci touchent un nombre très important d'étudiant-e-s. Les conditions de confinement parfois difficiles (familles nombreuses, présence d'enfants en bas age, logements exigus, isolement...), la fermeture des bibliothèques,  l’inquiétude et l’incertitude provoquées par l’épidémie, les retours d’étudiant-e-s chez elleux dans la précipitation, les problèmes de connexion ou encore l'accumulation de tâches supplémentaire liées au confinement (aide des proches) ne sont que des exemples des difficultés rencontrées. Celles-ci ne permettent pas de travailler dans des conditions sereines et d'avoir la disponibilité mentale suffisante pour se consacrer pleinement à ses études.  En effet, la situation de confinement en période de crise sanitaire crée des conditions psychologiques difficiles (isolement, tensions familiales, proches malades...).Elles  placent en outre  les étudiant-e-s dans des situations  très inégalitaires. Or, la sanction de la validation associée à une charge de travail encore trop importante engendre du stress supplémentaire, et risque de fragiliser d'avantage la santé mentale et physique des étudiant-e-s, qu'il ne faut pas négliger. Cette inquiétude sur la validation du semestre est présente chez beaucoup d'étudiant-e-s.

Face à cette situation exceptionnelle, Solidaires étudiant-e-s et l’UNEF Sciences Po ainsi que tous les étudiant-e-s signataires demandons la validation automatique des enseignements du second semestre par Sciences Po sous la forme d’un « 10 améliorable ». La note de 10 minimum serait accordée à tout-e-s les étudiant-e-s quelque soit leur cursus et leur année d’étude, et les travaux à rendre ne pourraient qu’augmenter cette note. Ainsi, l’angoisse de la non validation serait évitée.

En outre, nous revendiquons l'extension de la validation automatique à diverses situations spécifiques. Nous exigeons ainsi :

- La validation de tous les stages de master et du parcours civique.

- La validation pédagogique du deuxième semestre de tous les étudiant.e.s actuellement en troisième année, universitaire ou hybride, comme l'ont déjà fait les IEP de Lille, Toulouse, St Germain en Laye.

- La validation automatique du niveau C1 nécessaire à l'obtention du diplôme de master

- La suspension des papers et enquêtes de terrains obligatoires (en 1A en sociologie, en 2A en sciences et société, et les trop nombreux papers pour les masters...), le report et l'adaptation  du format des mémoires de recherche.

Nous demandons également un allègement de la charge de travail (diminution du nombre de rendus et de lectures obligatoires , réduction de la durée des cours etc, etc...) pour ne pas rajouter  une pression supplémentaire à cette situation anxiogène et permettre à chaque étudiant-e d'avoir du temps pour soi afin de préserver sa santé (physique comme mentale) et celles de ses proches.


Enfin nous revendiquons une meilleure communication de Sciences Po auprès des étudiant.e.s. Nous sommes actuellement laissé.e.s trop souvent dans le flou, ce qui engendre un stress supplémentaire.

The academic upheavals caused by the current sanitary crisis alarm most of the students. Following an online poll with more than 170 reponses, we highlighted the massive issues related to the modalities of pedagogical continuities that Sciences Po wants to implement and the fact that these problems concern a large proportion of the students. The confinement conditions can be harsh (large families, young kids at home, small accomodation, isolation, ...), the closing of libraries, the worries and uncertainties raised by the epidemic, the hasty return of some students to their home, connexion issues or the accumulation of additional tasks caused by the virus (presence needed for relatives, ...) are only examples of the various issues students may have to cope with in this very specific context. It is crucial for us to pinpoint the fact that these issues compromise the studying conditions as well as the mental availability of the students, both necessary for a complete dedication to their studies. Indeed, the necessity of isolation in time of sanitary crisis highly impact students' psycological conditions (isolation, family tensions, sick relatives, ...) that also contribute to the exacerbation of the inequalities between students. Besides, the stress of academic validation coupled to heavy workloads cause even more stress, and may weaken even more the students physicial and mental health. This is something we can't turn a blind eye to, mainly as the worry about the semester validation is shared by most students.

In this unique sanitary and academic context, l'UNEF Sciences Po and Solidaires étudiant-e-s as well as all the students who signed the petition call for a proceure of validation of the semester fitting with this crisis. Indeed, we ask for an automatic validation for all of the second semester teachings, granting to every students a '10 upgradeable' in every of their classes. This procedure would concern all students, regardless the curriculum they are following, and the homework they have to do could only improve this initial grade. Thus, the anxiety of failing would be avoided.

Besides, we claim for an extension of this automatic academic validation to other specific situations. We thus as for:
 -  Validation of all Master and Civic Learning Programme internships
 -  Academic validation of the second semester for all students currently in their 3rd year of Bachelor and thus in academic exchange or in interniship, some other IEP like the ones of Lille, Toulouse, St-Germain en Laye and Strasbourg having already done it.
 - Automatic validation of the C1 level in english necessary to the master graduation
 -  The postponement and adaptation of the format of the research papers (mémoires), the suppression of all mandatory research papers (1A sociology, 2A sciences and society, masters' papers,...)
   
  We advocate as well for a reduction of the workload (fewer papers and mandatory readings, shorter classes ...) in order not to add additional pressure to this already very stressful situation and to allow each student to dedicate time to their psychological and physicial health, and to the ones of their relatives.
   
Finally, we ask for a better communication between SciencesPo's administration and the students. We are currently even more stressed by the lack of clarity and the blurred information  provided by the administration.
