Ballingeray village sewage systen

We, the undersigned wish to bring to the attention of Irish Water the unacceptable situation in our village of Ballingeary with respect to waste water and the current septic tank into which waste water is discharged.
That
The tank is inadequately sized for the number of connections, and that it often overflows contaminating  adjacent  properties including the village GAA Pitch, the recently acquired field which adjoins the septic tank, now in the public realm as it is owned by the village community.
The inadequate size means that no further connections are allowed and that this in turn is preventing development within the village envelope with consequent negative economic impact
These overflows are not only unsightly and unpleasant but represent a public health risk.
The discharges into the lakes of Locha Lua are creating a health risk to recreational water users (for example Kayakers) and are a blight to recreation itself.
An approved planning application has existed for many years
We seek an explanation from Irish Water for the inaction and a firm date by which work will be carried out.
