THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL, BUT YOU CAN SIGN UP TO BE ON THE WAITLIST.
Saturday, May 18th (Rain date: Sunday, May 19th)
Beach Pond, Exeter RI (http://climbri.org/beach.htm)
A casual day of sport climbing and top roping for women and non-binary individuals at RI’s only sport climbing crag (Beach Pond, Exeter, RI). Meant to build community among local women and non-binary climbers and to help orient newcomers to the trainings, trips, and community of the AMC RI chapter.
This gathering will cater to a wide range of experiences. This intake form will ask about your experience belaying (top rope, sport) and how much of your own gear you have or may need to borrow. Contact Emily Koo (she/her) at emilywkoo@gmail.com or Rowan Batts (they/them) at rowanbatts18@gmail.com with any questions.
Please note: the intended date of the crag day is Saturday, May 18th, but we are holding Sunday as a rain date in case of rain. The timing of the event may also be adjusted based on weather and level of interest. There is limited parking at the trailhead location so coordinating carpools will be highly encouraged.
Bring your own water and lunch/snacks. While there is a composting toilet at the parking lot, it's about a 15 min walk back from the crag, and may not be open.
