Instructions To The Monitor/Evaluator
The candidate shall be provided with a "victim" wearing full PPE including a functioning SCBA.
The candidate shall be given the instructions below before beginning the exercise.
Instructions To The Candidate
The candidate, wearing full PPE and having an unconscious victim, shall demonstrate an SCBA harness drag with 100% accuracy.

8 Steps

1) Wears full PPE
2) Determines if the victim's SCBA is functioning
3) Rolls the victim onto their side ensuring that the air supply is not compromised
4) Loosens the victim's shoulder straps on the SCBA
5) Disconnects the waist strap, maintains control of strap, and passes it between the victim's legs (so that they straddle it)
6) Refastens the victim's waist strap and tightens.
7) Verifies that the SCBA is securely fastened on the victim
8) Grasps the shoulder straps of the victim's SCBA and drags the victim to safely.
