This Saturday, October 30, let's embark on an exploration of artisanal beers made in Belgium and perfectly paired with Filipino fusion pica-pica !

This exceptional virtual tasting will be conducted by Jef Versele, Brewmaster and 6th generation family owner of Brouwerij Van Steenberge (established since 1874), and Chef Bettina Arguelles, Executive Chef of the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.

As for the tasting menu and beer pairings, we will enjoy:

Paired with Tomate Crevette and Kesong Puti Dip Arugula
(Cherry Tomato, Shrimp, Kesong Puti, Fresh Tarragon)

Baptist Blond - Top Fermented Clear Beer, 5,2% abv
Paired with Waterzoï
(Chicken Braised in Cream, Vegetables, Malunggay)

Augustijn Blond - Monestary Blond Beer, 7% abv
Paired with Baked Tahong Mussels
(Malagos Blue Peppato, Garlic, Spinach)

Piraat - Amber Ale, 10,5% abv
Paired with Boulettes a la Manillaise
(Pork & Beef Meatballs, Cerveza Negra, Mango)

5)
Gulden Draak - Dark Red Tripel, 10,5% abv
Paired with Chilli Chocolate Fudge
(70% Guanaja Chocolate, Siling Labuyo, Almond)

Each tasting set features the selection of 5 artisanal beers (333ml each) and food pairings (food bites good for 1-2 pax).
