Coastline is proud to host a CyberPatriot Cyber Camp this summer, from July 22nd-26th on our campus, Coastline Community College, 12901 Euclid St, Garden Grove, CA 92840. There is parking behind the college.
Registration will remain open until July 14th or until the camp is full (100 students).
This camp is OPEN to all students and coaches from Orange County. Those outside of Orange County are now being accepted as well.
NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE required. You will be introduced to the basics of making Windows and Linux computers secure from viruses, malware, and improper local security policies. We will NOT teach you how to hack; this is about securing computers.
SCHEDULE:
= Mon-Thur: learning about the basics of computer security. All attendees will be using a Coastline College computer for the entire camp and will practice on Windows and Linux virtual images.
= Fri: 4 hour in-class competition
Dates for the camp: July 22-26. The MORNING session covers the same material as the AFTERNOON session. The MORNING session is from 9 AM to 1PM. The AFTERNOON session is from 2 PM to 6 PM.
