About the parent focus group:

The goal of the focus group is to provide information on how the toolkit resources can be improved. While the toolkit is mainly aimed at providers, we want to ensure that the information included in the toolkit accounts for the needs of parents, as parents play a vital role in supporting the sexual health of their children. The toolkit also includes many handouts for providers to give directly to youth patients and their caregivers.

Time commitment and tasks:

Focus group participation will require a commitment of approximately 4 to 6 hours, consisting of time reviewing toolkit materials, filling out a written questionnaire, and one or two online focus group meetings (around 90 minutes each) in a small group of 4 to 5 parents. These meetings will take place during the first two weeks of June. A $50 gift card will be offered to participants.
