Kiwi Skate - Learn to Roller Skate
New Plymouth Roller Sports Club are pleased to be offering the brand new "Kiwi Skate Programme".  This is Skate New Zealand's new flagship learn to skate programme for beginners of all ages, designed to teach fundamentals of skating in a progressive and sequential manner.

Pre-registration is required for each skater wishing to participate.

Rink Doors Open - 8am
Rink Time Starts - 8:30am
Rink Finish - 9:30am

You are responsible for all you own personal belongings, please make sure you take these with you after each session.

Start Date is Saturday February 13th: Skaters will assemble and be placed into the appropriate groups by club coaches. These groups will be based on skill level. There will be three groups running (Small rink and main rink split into 2 rinks)

Dates:  Saturdays - Feb 20 , Feb 27, Mar 13, Mar 20, Mar 27, April 10.

Payment is required to secure your place - please ensure you have paid otherwise you may miss out.
For skaters who require parental assistance (ie. they can not skate unaided) the fee is $70 for the Term One sessions - these sessions will be held on the smaller rink, and parents will be expected he help their child.
For skaters who can skate unaided (ie. no parental assistance) the fee is $100 for the Term One sessions - these sessions will be held on the larger rink divided into two.
You will need to indicate below which session you are interested in registering for.
There will be no refunds.

The classes are facilitated by the Figure Skating branch of the New Plymouth Roller Sports Club.
Maximum numbers per session is 30.  Spaces are limited and can fill fast.
Certificates will be issued on completion of each course.

Kiwi Skate Philosophy
To provide a safe and inclusive skating experience for all participants.
To teach correct technique of the basic elements of roller skating.
To promote physical fitness and provide the opportunity for all ages to participate in a positive, healthy activity.
To help develop a finer degree of coordination and balance.

The club recommend leg and arm coverings ( ie. long pants and sleeves), helmet and gloves to protect hands. Participants are responsible for their own safety equipment.  Please label items of clothing, drink bottles and other personal property so in the event they are left at the rink the owners can be found.
If you need to loan skates, please bring socks. The club cannot guarantee that your size will always be available.

This registration form should be completed by a parent or guardian if the skater is under 18 years old.

Pre-registration closes immediately after all spaces are filled.  Names may be held for waiting list if wanted.
