The UCC Council for Climate Justice has called for a Climate Action Assembly at 1 pm ET/12 pm CT/11 am MT/10 am PT/8 am HT on November 1st. At this assembly gathering, we will hear proposals from Council members for action campaigns and projects for 2024. While proposed initiatives might respond to organically emerging passions and needs, a dedicated effort is being made to have initiatives focused on implementing recent General Synod resolutions. After the presentation of proposals, there will be an opportunity for (a) individuals to join a proposed campaign team and/or (b) pre-existing conference or church teams to affiliate with the initiative’s stated goals. Action teams will be formally commissioned at the Council’s Climate Action Assembly on January 3, 2024. Sign-up to join the Assembly via Zoom by filling out this form.
