Every 2nd Saturday this summer we hope to offer fun activities to encourage guests to move throughout the District. Our goal is to support our business owners with increased foot traffic and visibility!

There are options (below) for all businesses to participate - regardless of industry or street-level (or not) locations!

Let's get folks into your businesses to spend money on the 2nd Saturday -or to come back in the future!

The district will distribute paper bags with a list of participating businesses (Deadline: Register by July 1st to be on the list.)

Guests will walk throughout the district and collect items to stuff their bag -- and do some shopping!

Participating Business Options: (Select one or more!)

One Day Sales / Coupons (free upgrade to a drink or side, BOGO, etc.)
Bounce Back Coupons (coupons that are valid on a future date to encourage guests to return)
Pass out branded "items" (pens, jar openers, candy bars, cozies, etc.)
Offer a flash sale -- coordinate with the district and together we will do a 30 minute or 60 minute flash sale on an item (think - old blue light specials!)

August 10th
Picture Yourself Downtown

We are looking for creative selfie opportunities that encourage guests to visit your business! These can be simple, can feature local art, or can be creative and over the top!

Perhaps you'll head Under the Sea or onto the The Red Carpet! Maybe it will be a safari -- or an inflatable pool full of balls! Did someone say bubbles?

Aaarr there going to be pirates? The possibilities are endless and only limited by your creativity!

How would you like to participate in "Picture Yourself Downtown"

We will create a selfie-spot in our business!

We would love to host a selfie spot but would like the District to help connect us with another group (downtown business, banner sponsor or nonprofit) that will create the display.

September 14th
Downtown's MiniGolf

On our recent survey there was a lot of interest in completing an indoor minigolf course!

The idea is to have one thematically decorated minigolf hole per business/spot. The theme of the decorations is up to you! You are encouraged to incorporate your business & branding into the design!

The District has secured a loan of golf clubs and a few of the artificial turf greens (the straight greens with pool noodle bumpers shown above) that can be borrowed but not altered. Golf balls will also be supplied. Hole designers are responsible for all other expenses. Hole designers are also responsible for organizing staff or volunteers to monitor the golfers during the event.

How would you like to participate in "Downtown MiniGolf"

We will create a mini-golf hole in our business!

Halloween Happenings on October 19th

Time for Trick-or-Treat!

Note: This year, we have received requests to arrange for activities that appeal to older children and/or adults as well.

We plan to pass out treats at our business from 11:30-1!

We would love to pass out treats, but it would help to have volunteers assist us that day.

We don't have a street level storefront and would like an alternate location to pass out treats.

We will be hosting a craft or activity for children (explain below if you know it)

We will be hosting an activity that caters to older youth/adults (explain below if you know it)

November 30th

This has become a fun and anticiapted annual event!

We will be bringing back a Shopping Challenge Bingo REMIX edition!

Businesses are encouraged to offer sales, deals, coupons, limited time menu items, crafts, activities, and more!

Again, we have received requests to offer activities that appeal to older youth/adults as well!

We will plan to hold some sort of sale/gift card deal / limited time menu item, etc.

Downtown Scarecrow Festival

We hope to line Main Street with fun and family-friendly scarecrows! Scarecrows can CREATIVELY incorporate your industry in some way, but should not be purely a promotional display.

(Please keep scarecrows family-friendly for all ages and avoid political themes, overly scary displays, etc. We want this to be something that everyone can enjoy together! The overall theme is fall fun - not specific to Halloween)

The Scarecrow Festival will launch on Saturday, 10/12, and scarecrows can remain on display for the remainder of the month but must be removed by 11/1.

We will be creating a scarecrow! Please assign us a location as close as possible to our business.
