Sunday Service Attendance
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The Rockford United Methodist Church returns to public worship experiences on Sunday, June 7, 2020 with a new schedule and social distancing guidelines.  Masks will be strongly encouraged.

Sunday Worship Experiences

10:30-11:15 Sanctuary

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes early to allow for disinfecting between events.  Please use Door #2 (Ramp) and Door #7 (breezeway) to enter the building.  Your pastor and leaders will model proper behavior; including the wearing of masks and following guidelines for safe distancing, and greeting one another without physically touching.

Sunday Guidelines:

2) Maintain physical distancing (6 ft)
3) A greeter will open door for you if needed while maintain safe distancing.

       dismiss the people by rows.
5) Please use available container for offering collection as you exit. We will NOT pass
       the offering plates.
6) No Sunday morning education classes for adults or children, Children’s Church or
nursery services for the immediate future.
7) All worship services will be shortened.  There will not be worship bulletins.
8) We will use our projector and media systems to display all announcements, words and
       text.
9) There will be NO coffee hour or fellowship time before or after worship.  After worship
please go directly to your vehicles.
10)  Entrance/exit doors will be open to limit the number of times they are touched.
11)  Hand sanitizers and wipes will be readily available in all areas that are open for use.
12)  We will be cleaning and disinfecting thoroughly all spaces used by people after every
         use.
13) There will be Children’s Activity bags available each week.

Bishop Palmer has previously stated, ‘those over 65 and/or with preexisting conditions are encouraged to be abundantly cautious and should not be in crowds at all.’  Your health and safety remain our prime concern as we return to public worship.

Following our pattern established in April and May we will continue to record and post our weekly worship experience online each Sunday morning.  Our weekly bulletin, announcements and worship experience are always accessible online www.rumcoh.org and through our church Facebook page.
