*Hirsch PTA seeks Board and Committee Nominations for 2023-24*

Hirsch PTA is looking for active and engaged parents and volunteers who want to make a difference in their students' school experience! Please sign up for one or more of the following positions.

Note that PRESIDENT, TREASURER AND SECRETARY must be filled.

Submit nominations by April 18, 2023. Nominees will be elected during Board Meeting on May 9, 2023. Zoom link will be sent later.

Nomination for PARLIAMENTARIAN: Attend all PTA meetings; provide parliamentary procedure counsel; chair bylaws committee (enter name of candidate).

Nomination for HISTORIAN: Compile officers annual reports; prepare publicity; maintain PTA records (enter name of candidate).

Nomination for VICE PRESIDENT: Aide to the President; perform duties in the absence of President; Chair an ongoing committee (enter name of candidate).

Nomination for TREASURER: Monitor funds, compile and present reports, collect and process warrants (enter name of candidate).

Nomination for SECRETARY: Take Minutes at meetings, present minutes, keep schedule of events (enter name of candidate).

Nomination for PRESIDENT: Prepare and Lead Meetings, Coordinate with Committees and School Admin (enter name of candidate).

APPOINTED POSITIONS: If you want to sign up for of the following appointed positions, please select any that interest you. Appointments will be made after officers are elected.

MEMBERSHIP: Oversee membership drive & enrollment; secure membership from local community. Most of the work is in the first month of the school year

HOSPITALITY: Coordinate 2 main events related to teachers’ potlucks, Teacher Appreciation Week

ROOM PARENTS COORDINATOR: Act as a liaison between assigned room parents and the PTA

FUNDRAISING/BULLDOG JOG: Team responsible for design and implementation of all fundraising activities; including bulldog jog

HARVEST FESTIVAL COMMITTEE: coordinate and organize volunteers and activities related to the Harvest Festival in October. Committees should run food booth, games, prizes, costume parade, etc.

MOVIE NIGHT COORDINATOR: coordinate 2-3 movie events

REFLECTIONS PROGRAM COORDINATOR: oversee Reflection Program in October, send flyers to parents and students, collect all art pieces and submit to the District; announce winners

FAME/TALENT SHOW: coordinate and organize these events

SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNICATOR: Post PTA updates in WhatsApp, WeChat, FB, Konstella and other channels and keep the parents engaged

FLYERS AND PRINT MEDIA: Design and print flyers, posters and banners for events and communication

I would like to volunteer when possible and support the other PTA members in their efforts
