The word “Psychology” originally came from the Greek word “Psyche”, meaning the Soul. Over centuries, in the name of making Science, Psychology has moved further and further away from the Soul, especially its spiritual aspects. Only a handful of psychologists were willing and courageous enough to include spiritual and soulful experiences into their theories. Carl Jung was one of them. Being well-versed in Eastern philosophies, Jung incorporated the spiritual dimension into his theory, making it “transpersonal”. Hopefully, this workshop will become a step in returning Psychology to its spiritual roots.
