Northern Perspectives is designed to provide insights into the current practices
of artists living and working North of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Conceived as a
snapshot of recent Contemporary Art produced on the north side, we are inviting
entries across a broad range of mediums: painting, expanded painting,
printmaking, sculpture, installation and digital art (e.g. photography, video,
digital installations).
Submission Deadline: 30 September 2020
Exhibition Dates: 14-31 Oct 2020
Each artist can submit up to three artworks created within the last three years,
including new work. No framed works beyond 2m x 2m will be accepted.
Installation works larger than 4sq metres maybe included at the gallery’s
discretion. A fee of $70 is applicable upon acceptance and this amount applies
regardless of number of works submitted or included.
All works in the exhibition are to be for sale, with the exception of video art and
ephemeral installations. Details of pricing and commission will be relayed to
accepted artists. Video art and digital installation accepted for exhibition must
come with platforms of display. E.g. a TV screen, media player or other specific
equipment along with a copy of the digital file.
The gallery commission is 33.3%, please price your artworks to factor this in.
Selected artworks are to be delivered either on Friday 9th October or Saturday 10th October during
Gallery opening hours. Only works that are accepted for inclusion in the exhibition are to be delivered to the gallery.
All unsold works shall be collected from Gallery Lane Cove on Saturday 31st October between 2.30-5.30pm, after the exhibition has closed, unless arranged otherwise with management.
No work selected for inclusion in the exhibition shall be removed from the
exhibition prior to the closing date: 31 October 2020, 2.30pm.
