At the Academies of Loudoun, the Academy of Engineering and Technology (AET)  will be hosting two days of presentations by local business and community leaders on Feb 20 & 21. This is event takes place during the nationally recognized  Engineering Week.  The purpose of the event is to expose 9th through 12th grade students to different professions related to Engineering, Computer Science, and Entrepreneurship.  We are asking presenters to plan a 45-50 minute presentation about their company, role in the company, and interesting projects they’ve worked on.  It would be wonderful if presentations could incorporate demos or activities for student participation.

Students in AET choose one pathway focused on Engineering, Computer Science, or Entrepreneurship. Every class is designed as an honor, Advanced Placement or dual enrollment course that incorporates inquiry and project-based learning.  Our students are eager to learn about professions and opportunities related to their chosen pathway and possible career.

Below is a preliminary schedule for each day. Your time commitment would be from 9:15 AM- 1:00 pm with an optional lunch afterward (lunch is provided).
