Residency and About POW
This part of the survey collects general location data.

What is POW?
POW stands for Power On Water. A button that would start water running over Twin Falls when observers are at the falls to watch the water.

Why is POW needed?
The water runs at specific times, regardless if observers are there or not. This water is not being used to generate power when running over the falls. We would like to help our growing communities by increasing the output potential of the power plant, while granting on demand access to watching the falls.

How do we plan to implement POW?
We have already talked with Idaho Power, and they have said the idea is feasible. Now we need to collect data to take to the FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) in order to change a 1991 regulation that mandates running the water over the falls on specific dates and times (not just at Twin Falls) for viewers to see, to allowing the installation of the POW button to make the falls public viewing access on demand whenever the park is open. This will allow the water to flow through the power plant when there is not an observer to watch it go over the falls.
