Rainbow Revolutionary Distinguished Alumni Award
The Rainbow Revolutionary Distinguished Alumni Award honors an individual who has made significant contributions to LGBTQ+ community since graduating from SUNY Geneseo. These contributions will have resulted in the development or improvement of a safe, inclusive, and respectful climate for the LGBTQ+ community on campus and beyond.

The award recognizes any alum of SUNY Geneseo who has made significant contributions and improvements at SUNY Geneseo or in the wider community in one or more of the following ways:

- Advocating for changes to policies or procedures that exclude or marginalize LGBTQ+ communities

- Advocating for the inclusion of LGBTQ+ perspectives, issues, groups, or individuals in spaces, programs, and decision making within their communities

- Volunteering time, effort, resources, and expertise to promote and maintain  an active and welcoming community for LGBTQ+ alumni

- Organizing and/or participating in fundraising efforts that support scholarship, leadership, wellness, and programming initiatives for LGBTQ+ students at SUNY Geneseo or within local communities

- Engaging in efforts to support, mentor, or advice LGBTQ+ students at SUNY Geneseo

- Advocating or providing leadership for LGBTQ+ issues and concerns on a local, state, regional, or national level

- Distinguished achievements in business, the arts, STEM fields, education, or other professions that benefit LGBTQ+ communities.

Nominations should include specific, demonstrable examples of how the nominee has met one or more of the above criteria.

Nominations must be submitted by Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
