This is it! You’ve finally made it to SBU’s campus. In person! You’ve been taking classes virtually, but you just haven’t made it to Stony Brook until today, a day you hope will be full of exploring and discovering your new favorite bench, building, sculpture, rock, or tree. First stop? The library, of course!

You want to walk through the doors and see if you can find your new favorite study spot. But how do you get in? You just came from the Student Union, and you see a Starbucks and Shop Red West. Maybe that's not the library after all -- you're confused. Then, a person who looks like they know where they are going comes toward you. You ask, “Hi, I’m sorry to bother you, but do you know if this is the library, and which way is the best way to get inside?”

The person turns towards you, and responds cryptically, "You have unknowingly wandered into the realm of the Bridge to Nowhere, a space that I inhabit and control."

Very. Weird. "Okay...," you say.

“I will give you a series of questions and puzzles about SBU and the library, and for every correct answer you provide, you can ask me one question about how to escape the realm of the Bridge to Nowhere and enter the library,” says the being, which you are starting to realize looks strangely pale and sad.
