Thank you for your interest in representing your community by presenting or performing at Omaha's World Refugee Day event. We are seeking members of the refugee and immigrant community in Omaha to showcase their artistic and educational skills at WRD Omaha!
World Refugee Day is a free, public event that will be held at Levi Carter Park on June 24, 2023, 10 am - 2pm. The event includes a variety of activities, including a Culture Fair, live performances, sports tournaments, food, and more!
The Culture Fair invites individuals from refugee and immigrant communities to educate the community about their countries and culture through presentations and conversation. This can include showcasing art, educational materials, fashion, handicrafts, or other examples of your country or culture. WRD Omaha has a strict policy of NO SALES during the event.
Performers may be individuals or groups showcasing talents in music, dance, poetry, and/or henna design.
All performances and presentations will receive a modest monetary stipend for performing. Please complete this form to express your interest in
having space at the World Refugee Day Culture Fair or performing on-stage at the event.
Someone from the World Refugee Day planning committee will follow up with you for
additional questions and to confirm your attendance.
