The purpose of this form is to request an educational workshop from The Landing, a sexual and gender diversity centre at the University of Alberta. Due to Covid-19, we will now be offering our presentations online in various formats and on multiple topics.

Session topics include:

Introduction to The Landing

Gender and Sexual Diversity

Creating Safer Spaces

Consent

Anti-Oppression

Allyship

Formats include:

E-Class External Modules: Participants will work through e-class modules at their own pace and engage through forum posts and activities. The benefits to this format grant the ability to cover more materials, a longer time period for participants to complete the workshop, and time flexibility. The drawbacks to this format are an extended time period for learning and limited face to face instruction.

Zoom Presentation: Participants will learn in a lecture-style presentation over Zoom where we will engage in lively discussion and activities. The benefits to this format are face to face participation, interactive discussion, and real-time questions and answers. The drawbacks are less information coverage and fewer opportunities to engage with the material.
