Do you live or work around the north-inner city and Rotunda area?
If so, we want to hear from you for a journalism project starting mid September.
Dublin Inquirer is a local independent newspaper that covers city news in Dublin for the past six years. We are looking to chat, and more importantly, listen to people and learn what they think about local media and how it could be improved.
We see two steps to this project. We want to hear from people living and working in this area about what they want from local media, through focus groups and surveys. And then, work together to try to provide it.
That could mean extra coverage of specific stories, journalism training, a chance to do some paid freelance work or a chance to work on a group journalism project together, or whatever else you would like to do.
The first wave of the project will start mid September to mid October and will involve two group chat sessions, ranging from an hour to two hours each.
The next phase will take place from October until December and time commitments may vary, depending on participants needs and what they want to do.
