Summer Research Fellows work one-on-one with a faculty mentor on the faculty member’s research project. Projects will be conducted either in-person or virtually, as determined by the faculty mentor and as pandemic conditions require. Please check the project availability section of the 2021 Database of Faculty Summer Research Projects (
https://marymount.edu/academics/programs-of-study/discover-research-program/summer-research-program/faculty-projects-database/2021-database-of-faculty-summer-research-projects/) to confirm the status of a project before you apply. If a project is listed as in-person only, please be aware that you will need to be available on campus to participate
The summer 2021 Fellowship begins on May 17, 2021 and continues through June 30, 2021. Each student research fellow receives a $1500 Fellowship stipend. Students will be expected to dedicate 12-15 hours weekly to the activities of the Fellowship during these 6.5 weeks.
In addition to participating in research activities with a faculty member, summer fellows will interact with other MU Research Fellows through weekly virtual meetings. These meetings provide learning opportunities on a variety of research-related topics and allow Student Fellows to share the work they are doing during with other MU Fellows. Fellows will also share their research as part of a research celebration event in the Fall semester, 2021.
DEADLINE: This application will close at 11:59pm on April 12, 2021
