Welcome back or for the first time to Emerson for what promises to be a very interesting year. Our school depends heavily on volunteers, and while we won't be in the classroom this year, volunteers will be as vital as ever to making sure all families get the support we need.

There are a few places we have identified that we could use your help right away, and there will be more to come, no doubt! We are looking for room parents and buddies to get our classes connected.

Room parents work as a team to help the teacher connect with other parents, build community, and foster inclusion. This year, we’ll also be checking in with families to see what support we may need in distance learning and connecting them to resources. You don’t have to know it all - there is a big support network!

Buddies will welcome a new family to the school, answer questions, and get them connected with resources. Great for families who know Emerson well!
