MATES STEM Summer Experience Registration

Our Summer Experience will be offered to all incoming Class of 2028 members and students entering grades 8 and 9 (will be assessed). Please email jwnek@ocvts.org with any questions

We offer this experience for one week (four days see below) from 8 AM - 3 PM. Students need to arrange for transportation to and from MATES; however, there will be daily field experiences using OCVTS transportation. A list of items and permission forms will be sent once registration is confirmed. We recommend that you contact other parents if transportation is an issue and see if you can arrange transportation with others. We will be following any health precautionary measures that are in place at the time of the experience.

This MATES STEM Summer Experience will be taught by MATES Instructors and our experienced Summer Staff. Please complete the registration form below. Note: If you have two children registering, please fill out two separate registrations and make a note of it in the last question of each registration form. Students are only allowed to participate for one week. Thank you.

The MATES STEM Summer Experience will be run daily from 8 AM through 3 PM with pick-up between 3:00 - 3:15 PM on the dates below. Please select the dates that your child can attend the Experience. Students will attend one week only and we would like to be sure to accommodate a safe number of students each week. If more than the allotted spaces are chosen we will honor those that registered first (time stamped). There are two weeks that students can sign up to work on their research project ideas and learn how to conduct their first year research projects. The Summer Experience will provide field activities using current health protocols for safety. Please let us know of any concerns that you may have. We have a brochure (pdf) containing information about the Experience. We will be providing a list of items and permission form for you to sign after you are contacted. The permission form and other registration items can be brought in anytime and/or the first day of the Experience. Thank you.
