The Solidarity Brigade NYC (Brigada Solidaria NYC) is an intersectional network of relatives and allies building mutual aid and solidarity with the 2021 Brigada Nacional de Búsqueda searching for the 87,000+ disappeared across Mexico. In order to build long-term solidarity with our communities, we invite you to join us--A horizontal-collective of family members and allies in Mexico, NYC, Toronto, Vancouver, and Paris.

We gather to:

–Share updates from the ground as our community plans the 2021 National Search Brigades this Summer in Morelos, Michoacán and Jalisco;

–Raise mutual aid funds for the National Search Brigade to provide food, PPE, transportation, security, and materials to the families working to locate their disappeared relatives, and

–Build intersectional solidarity between families of the disappeared across Turtle Island, North and Central America through education, storytelling, and kinship.

Our goal of the Solidarity Brigade NYC is to gather in community with one another, and involve ourselves in the histories, contexts, and politics that result in contemporary disappearance across the Americas, including Central America, Indian Country, and so-called Canada. We meet weekly and this is a grassroots movement built upon vast legacies of transnational solidarity. We are learning and growing together in real-time.
