About the Book Club
Text: "A Raisin in the Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry

We will read the award-winning play "A Raisin in the Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry. This drama tells the story of a struggling working class family living on the South Side of Chicago and their hopes and aspirations to improve their social and economic circumstances. The play addresses issues such as race, freedom, and the American Dream. Each session will have a featured topic and we will focus on vocabulary, reading comprehension, and discussion.
