Welcome to the Newberg Booster Club Scholarship for 2023 NHS Grad
Newberg Booster Club will award four scholarships, each in the amount of $1000. The scholarships will be awarded to student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in athletics, academics and volunteer service in the community. These student-athletes will also demonstrate high standards of commitment and character. The scholarships will be awarded at the conclusion of the 2022-2023 sports seasons in May. Application open March 1-May 12, 2023.
Guidelines
Student-athlete applicants must:
Be a graduating senior of Newberg High School with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Have played on a varsity sport their senior year.
Have participated in at least 4 sports seasons over the past four years as a Newberg High student.
Be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution, career school, technical school or vocational/trade school.
Have had no violations of the Athletic Code of Conduct during their time at
Application deadline is May 12th, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. PDT.
Late applications are not accepted.
Scholarships are given on the basis of merit. Financial need is not a factor or consideration in applying for this scholarship.
This is not a renewable scholarship.
Scholarship Selection Committee – No identifying information about applicants will be given to the selection committee. Parents of the applicant(s) may not serve on the selection committee

Newberg High School Scholarship funds will be paid in Fall of 2023 for the first term of the student’s first year. These funds will be paid directly to the college and not to the student. A form will be provided to the recipient of the scholarship to collect the information about their selected post-secondary school and will include an award letter to be turned in to the financial aid office at the student's school. It will be the student’s responsibility to submit this form to Newberg Booster Club's Scholarship committee via email at newberghighboosterclub@gmail.com and to the financial aid office.
