As part of Mayor Wu's commitment to making Boston a family-friendly city, the City of Boston is hosting a Youth Sports Fair on Sunday, September 24 from 1-4pm at Hunt Almont Park in Mattapan.
The City of Boston Youth Sports Fair will feature:
- Sports clinics and activities for youth ages 9-14 including soccer, lacrosse, flag-football, and more
- Local youth sports providers available to connect with families and share information about upcoming youth sports programs and opportunities in Boston and make registration available to interested youth.
- Free food, ice cream, and music for all
If your organization provides youth sports programming for youth ages 9-14, we would love to have you participate in the Youth Sports Fair. There are two ways that youth sports providers can participate in the fair:
- Host an information table: We want to help connect families to youth sports providers. At your information table, you will have the opportunity to meet youth and parents, share information about your program(s), and provide on-site registration. We will provide one table and two chairs for each provider and encourage you to bring printed handouts, sign-up sheets, giveaways, and a tablecloth.
- Run a sports clinic: A variety of sports clinics and activities will allow youth to explore several different sports in a fun and low-stress environment. By running a sports clinic, you can help introduce youth to a new sport, encourage kids to be active, and help participants develop specific skills through coaching, drills, open play, and other activities. Organizations can host drop-in clinics for the duration of the event or shorter, 30-minute or 60-minute clinics.
Participation is free for sports providers. If you or your organization would like to participate on September 24, please submit your information below and a member of our team will be in touch with next steps.
