Seeing the Forest for the Trees
Thursdays, September 2 and September 9
10 to 11 a.m. via Zoom
$20 for Harris Center supporters / $30 for all others

Join Susie Spikol and Jeremy Wilson for an analytical look at forests and trees as social beings. During the first class, we’ll explore Peter Wohlleben’s provocative book, The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate — Discoveries from a Secret World, discussing the context in which it was written, Wohlleben’s biography, and our own responses to the text. In the second class, forest ecologist Jeremy Wilson will examine the science and theories around Wohlleben’s work. A course for those of you who want to see the forest and the trees, and understand how they work together.  Register online at harriscenter.org/events. For more information, contact Susie at spikol@harriscenter.org.
