Morning Plenary Session: Three dynamic introductory presentations will kick off the summit, featuring local experts from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the City of Livermore, and the Alameda County StopWaste organizations. These talks will provide context for the event and how to understand ways individuals can take effective action to mitigate climate change.
Afternoon: In the afternoon, attendees will be able to explore an array of 15-20 hands-on activities and information booths. These interactive experiences, hosted by local organizations and experts, will cover a range of topics including energy and waste audits, new energy efficient products, transportation, climate education resources, climate careers, student projects at regional schools, City government resources and practical steps to reduce your carbon footprint at home and in schools.
Closing Session: The summit will close with a short summary of the day and ways to stay involved. This will include a fun Kahoot including a free drawing for a heat pump hot water heater.
