Join us for four-days this summer for a make‐and‐take experience (by grade level) that provides teachers with time to observe the modeling of already prepared mini-lessons and stations for each of their Readiness Math Standards. The focus of this training is to improve student understandings of Mathematics through more effective, engaging, and targeted instruction that embeds exploration to develop critical thinking skills.  

Register now for this one-of-a-kind workshop (by grade level) to receive mini-lessons, activities, stations, practice cards, puzzles, tech tools, and student/teacher notes.  Sample activities will also be created during the training for teachers to take back to use immediately in their own classrooms. With your registration, you will create stations and activities as an instructional model through meaningful teaching and learning of Mathematics specific to a grade level.

Our activities can be merged into the Balanced Numeracy Model (guided math setting); however still leaves room for teacher autonomy in choosing what will be used for day-to-day instruction. Each training is grade-level specific so that you walk away with grade-specific lessons and activities!  In addition, teachers will have opportunities to engage in vertical conversations between the two grade levels that are present throughout the four-day period.  

Each day of the training contains the following tools of Mathematics:  
manipulatives, whole group and small group instructional strategies, journal writing, problem solving, graphing, number sense, mental math, estimation, verbal problems, collaborative learning opportunities as well as independent practice, technology, high-yield strategies, self-reflection and growth mindset activities, and formative assessments.

All work is based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and is designed to incorporate all of the major topics for each grade level. We will also discuss various instructional strategies to get ALL students thinking deeply about the grade level skills and concepts.

Cancellation Policy:
Please find a substitute participant as a replacement to avoid cancellation fees.  
Substitutes must be in the same grade level; otherwise, a cancellation fee will be charged.

If you do not have a same grade level substitute participant please see cancellation fees below:
Cancellations before May 31, 2020, please pay a cancellation fee of $300.00.
Cancellations after June 1, 2020, please pay a cancellation fee of $600.00.

In the event that you need to sign up for more than one-grade level session, please submit a new registration form per grade level you will be attending.  Please note that we will be presenting to grade levels simultaneously, in separate rooms, so you would need to choose one grade level to attend per session.  For example:  I could only choose one grade level between 2nd and 3rd grade, etc.
