Student engagement has never been more crucial in our educational setting than it is now. Maintaining high levels of engagement needs to be a priority for teachers as we educate our students in remote, face-to-face, and/or blended learning environments. This course is designed as a three-part series that delves deeper into best practices for synchronous and asynchronous learning. There will be a strong emphasis on supporting teachers with concrete strategies and resources to help create and design online tasks that engage learners in a student-centered environment. By the end of each course, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of strategies to engage student learning and have a toolbox of digital resources to utilize in the classroom.
These three segments will be conducted in an asynchronous online setting utilizing Google Classroom as the delivery platform. Participants meet virtually via online communities to discuss and share lessons and strategies. Personal Google accounts will be required to access the courses. Each segment may be taken independently as a one credit course, or combined as a three credit course.
