Expression of Interest: Discover the Chilterns Family Day (June 14, Wycombe Rye)- stallholders form
This form is for businesses, craftspeople, caterers and local community groups who wish to take part in the Discover the Chilterns Family Day event on the Wycombe Rye on Sunday 14 June 2020 (11am - 5pm approx.)

This event will be outdoors and feature a variety of local craftspeople, businesses, NGOs and community groups. There will be traditional games for children, arts and crafts, storytelling and much more to engage with local families and provide a fun and informative day out! We hope to have food vans (as well as the ice cream van already on the Rye) of course to ensure families can come down and stay for the afternoon and enjoy all that the festival event has to offer.

This event is a great opportunity for local businesses to sponsor a stall or have a stall of their own - please contact Elizabeth Buckley on lbuckley@chilternsaonb.org for more information on sponsorship packages.

INFRASTRUCTURE:
A standard grass pitch is 4m x 4m (which allows for a 3m x 3m gazebo plus guy ropes). Larger pitches may be available on request.
Please note that you are required to bring your own gazebo, tables, chairs etc. The Festival is unable to provide these. There is no electricity available on-site, so if you require power, please supply your own generator.

HEALTH AND SAFETY / INSURANCE: Closer to the time, we will ask all exhibitors to provide proof of Public Liability Insurance and a risk assessment for their stand and activity. Exhibitors providing food will be required to show relevant food hygiene certificates.

FEES: The fee for an outdoor 4m x 4m pitch is £30. This fee may be reduced or waived for local charities or community groups.
Caterers / food vans will be charged 10% of their takings with a minimum charge of £50.

PLEASE NOTE that the deadline for submitting this form is: 12-noon, Tuesday 23 March 2020

Themes of the High Wycombe event
The Discover the Chilterns Family Day on the Wycombe Rye will be the BIGGEST event as part of the Chilterns Summer Festival. This event offers a great opportunity to connect with local FAMILIES, residents and young people, as well as an opportunity to showcase your business, craft or skill.

We will be looking for activities which relate to the landscape or heritage of the Chilterns. Themes you might want to incorporate into your activity or offering are:

· The history of the bodgers and other local crafts

· Cherries and other local foods

· The chalk landscape and how it shaped the industry or supports the biodiversity of the region

· The multicultural and diverse nature of the Chilterns today

Even food suppliers can incorporate a Chilterns theme, (e.g. a bacon butty could be renamed a 'bodgers butty' as they used to toast bacon on a stick in the woods).

We are open to ideas and your creativity, so please do include these below in your application!
