2024 Private Non-Profit Schools Compliance Academy- Sept. 17-18, 2024
This two-day event will start at 8:30 am and end by 4 pm and will be held in San Antonio, TX (in-person) at 816 Camaron St, Suite 2.16, San Antonio, TX 78212. Space is limited and is recommended to register early to reserve your space. 

Are you responsible for managing your district’s Private Non-Profit schools’ equitable services? Are you a private school administrator trying to understand how to access equitable services under the ESEA/ESSA? This two-day academy is designed for your success! The content of this training is based on the book "Private Non-Profit Schools Compliance by Design-How to Manage Equitable Services from Start to Finish". This user-friendly guide provides practical resources in a format that is organized to help any school district or private school administrator to understand all the complex requirements for implementing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating equitable services for Title I, Part A; Title I, Part C; Title II, Part A; Title III; and Title IV, Part A. 

Below is a sample agenda for Day 1:
  • Background and history of PNP schools and equitable services.
  • “All Things PNP” that covers all the common compliance requirements across all ESSA programs: how to conduct an information meeting, timely and meaningful consultation, allocations, program planning, budget monitoring, role of the PNP school official, payroll and extra-duty pay, documentation, and much more.

  • Title I, Part A: How to manage, monitor, and implement equitable services for Title I, Part A

  • Low-income survey, targeted assistance model, contracted services, consultation, and much more.

  • Title I, Part C: How to manage, monitor, and implement equitable services

  • Qualified move, parent notifications, consultation, equitable services allocations, and much more.

  • Title II: How to manage, monitor, and implement equitable services

  • Consultation, equitable services allocation, procedures for travel reimbursement, and much more.

Below is a sample agenda for Day 2
  • Title III: How to manage, monitor, and implement equitable services
  • Home Language Surveys, PNP student assessment, consultation, equitable services for English language learners and allocations, and much more.
  • Title IV: How to manage, monitor, and implement equitable services
  • Consultation and equitable services for Well-Rounded Education, Safe & Healthy Students, and Effective Uses of Technology
  • Fiscal rules that govern all equitable services that relate to PNP school services: supplement not supplant, reasonable and necessary, allowable/allocable, and procurement.
  • Program administration includes examples of policies and procedures to set up and guide PNP schools on how to submit travel reimbursement requests, inventory, contract management with external service providers, and much more.  
About the Presenter/Author: Kish Russell-Yoquelet started working with equitable services for Private Non-Profit schools in 2012 as a Federal Programs Compliance Coordinator for San Antonio ISD in San Antonio, TX. She continues to work and support school districts across the state of Texas and the nation.  Her experience brings direct knowledge and experience that goes beyond the knowledge of federal legislative requirements and provides practical insight to understand the necessary elements to effectively manage a successful equitable services program under your leadership.

Registration includes the cost for breakfast, a box lunch, and a copy of the the book, "Private Non-Profit Schools Compliance by Design" as well as digital documents access for each related book (a $200 value). 
*Cost for registration is allowable with Title I or II funds (administrative costs) under for professional development for grant administrators managing and monitoring the federal grant program.
Cancellation policy: Cancellations received on or before Aug. 15th will qualify for a full refund. After Aug. 15th a 50% refund is available only if cancelled before Aug. 31st or registration may be transferred to another staff member at no additional cost. Cancellations after Aug. 31st will only be eligible for credit to attend future trainings or may be transferred to another staff member with no additional cost. If paying by Purchase Order, the PO must be received within 15 days of submitting registration or the registration will be at risk of cancellation or losing the discounted early-bird rate (if applicable). Cancellations must be received in writing via email to support@kishrussell.com and will be eligible for the option that applies to the date the email was submitted. No-show: Failure to send a written cancellation notice to support@kishrussell.com and may result in a bill for the full cost of registration that was submitted.
