NYC Dance in Sacred Places: Manhattan & Brooklyn
Partners for Sacred Places (www.sacredplaces.org) is collaborating with Dance/NYC and the New York Landmarks Conservancy to locate available space in sacred places and provide free training for dance and faith-based organizations interested in learning how to share space with one another. The goal of this project is to create and foster sustainable, mutually beneficial space sharing relationships between dance organizations and sacred places.

The full-day training workshop will cover topics including:
...Aligning your dance organization’s mission with a sacred place whose mission is similarly minded
...Relating artistic content to religious doctrine
...Creating a space sharing agreement that works for both parties
...Reimagining the sacred place facility for use by the dance community

Please fill out this form to let us know that your dance organization is interested in sharing space within a sacred place in Manhattan & Brooklyn. The training slots are limited to approximately 30 dance organizations interested in creating work in either Manhattan & Brooklyn. Applicants do not have to live in either borough to participate - just want to work in one of them.
