Camp will be held in person August, 2024 8th to 11th at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario.

Thank you for applying to be an adult volunteer for Camp fYrefly, Ontario! This arts-based camp is for youth who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ and who live in Ontario.  Being an adult volunteer is an important role at camp and we take the selection of staff very seriously.  This position will challenge you and offer many rewards, especially the opportunity to be a mentor to youth leaders or be an example of a professional who is part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community or an ally.  Please tell us as much as you feel comfortable sharing to help us get a sense of who you are and why you want to be part of this experience as we receive more applications than we have opportunities.

This year, we are asking that adult volunteers consider running a workshop. This will allow youth to get to know you in another way. This is not mandatory but if you have a passion or skill you wish to share then this is the place to do it!

You will have your own room and all washrooms and change room spaces are non-gendered. This is a volunteer position however we ask you to be available all training days and camp days unless otherwise discussed or your position is shared with others. You will receive an honorarium for your work upon completion of camp and so much sparkly admiration you won't know what to do with it all
