Hello Mustang Band Booster Club (MBB) Members!

The Booster Club's mission is to:

Work together with other parents to make band awesome for our kids
Work together with other parents to ease the burden on our directors so they can focus on teaching our kids

It is widely understood among booster clubs that the success of the club is linked to the participation of the club's members who are actively engaged with club activities. I consistently hear how rewarding it is to work alongside other parents making things happen for all of our kids.

Each spring we hold elections to establish the board for the upcoming year and start to plan for the committees that do the work of the club. We are asking that you seriously consider getting involved and so that you understand the level of commitment that is involved, here are the board positions and their responsibilities followed by most of the major committees and what they do.

President - The President leads the BVN MBB and Executive Board and acts as a resource for all board members and committee chairs. The meetings are once monthly and are scheduled for one hour. Signatory for checks for the Club. Also works to engage more parents in the club.
Vice-President - The VP assists the President and presides over all meetings in the absence of the President. The Vice-President will become the President the following year.
Secretary - keeps records and minutes of all organization and Executive Board meetings. Signatory for checks for the Club
Treasurer - The Treasurer(s) will receive monies consisting of fundraising efforts and band dues from Blue Valley North Band, keep accurate receipts and expenditures, and make disbursements in accordance with the approved budget as authorized by the BVNBB, the General Board and/or the Executive Board. Currently, there are two treasures. One person serving as the primary treasurer and one in training and to provide additional support for the Treasurer.
At Large Board Members - oversee committees and provide additional support for hospitality and other band activities.
