Hire A Musician!
Welcome to CU Gigs' Hire a Musician form! Please fill out the Event Information, Musician Needs, and Client Information sections as best as you are able to. The more complete they are, the faster musicians can be referred. This form is for hiring a musician for an event or temporary gig. For more permanent positions, please contact ecm@colorado.edu and we will be able to advertise your position to our community of musicians. Please provide a job description document (docx or pdf) in your email.

Once the form is submitted, your information will be reviewed by CU Gigs staff and posted to the Gigs Board for musicians to express their interest. Requests are usually posted to the Gigs Board on Mondays and Thursdays by 5pm. If a gig is posted on Monday, the client-musician connection will occur by Friday of the same week. If a gig is posted on Thursday, the client-musician connection will occur on the following Monday. After the post is closed, musicians will be referred via email by the CU Gigs Coordinator.

At the end of each section, there are spaces to add additional information. If you have any questions when filling out the form, please contact cugigs@colorado.edu. We look forward to processing your request and referring musicians to you shortly!

Client Guidelines *
By clicking the following, I understand and agree to the following: CU Gigs is a musician referral service only. Therefore, clients contract and pay directly any musicians referred by the office. We recommend that clients and musicians start at a rate of $100/hour/musician. In the rare event that a student fails to show or cancels, please notify the CU Gigs Coordinator (musicref@colorado.edu) immediately so that appropriate action may be taken. CU Gigs is not responsible for mediating issues involving referred students and any grievances are to be handled directly with the students.
