Program Type Guide
FOOD PANTRY
Distributes food to income-eligible individuals on a regular basis. The program must be open to the public and complete intake via TEFAP forms or FreshTrak. This program type includes Direct Distributions.
MEAL SITE AND/OR SHELTER
Meal: provides meals to community members experiencing food insecurity and is open to the public.
Shelter: provides temporary shelter and meals to community members experiencing homelessness or abuse.
CONGREGATE AND/OR RESIDENTIAL
Includes youth programs, residential programs, child or adult day care, senior programs, group homes, summer camps, school pantries, and non-emergency pantries.
BACKPACK
Backpacks include a minimum of two breakfasts, two lunches and snacks typically for the weekend and holidays when free and reduced-price meals are not available through school.
