Depending on how involved you are hoping to be, we may offer: for us to keep your information on file until an appropriate opportunity or need arises, an invitation to join an upcoming volunteer meeting, or to invite you to join the RUMAH slack and be onboarded for more regular involvement.

Here are some examples of current and ongoing projects with RUMAH and The Hub community space in downtown Raleigh. Please check any you'd be interested in learning more about or getting involved with! *

This is not an all-inclusive list. Most, if not all, items listed are actively being pursued by current RUMAH volunteers. You would not be alone in tackling any of these items, rather you would be invited to join folks with similar interests and skills to work together. Of course, there are also plenty of tasks that can be done solo and/or virtually, depending on your comfort level.

General Community Outreach & Engagement (making connections with other groups)

Fundraising Projects (finding and/or writing grants or creative fundraising ideas)

RUMAH Merch team (designing, sourcing, creating merch for donations or special events)

Building a Community Resource Directory

Maintaining the RUMAH Library (and Free Zine racks)

Maintaining the craft supply and tool share areas

Planning & Maintaining raised garden bed for spring 2024!

Planning and/or staffing events - both at The Hub and tabling on behalf of RUMAH at other community events
