What:  Summer Reading/Writing and Science Fun!
What: A bridge program designed to transition new Kindergarten students to the academic and social expectations in Kindergarten and help with the COVID gap.
Where: McKinley Elementary
When: Monday-Thursday  August 1-4  and August 8-11  from 9:00 A.M- 12:00 P.M.
Why: This is important to help set students up for success in their first full academic school year in Kindergarten. Many students did not attend a school setting due to COVID. This will help them get familiar with the school, classmates, teachers, and routines prior to the first day of school.
Daily Schedule: Activities will be planned based on suggestions from our Preschool teachers.
9:00- Pick up students on the playground by the North doors.
9:05- Walk to the classrooms, complete a review activity
9:20- Story time
9:35- Language Arts/ Phonics centers
10:15 - Craft
10:30- Gross Motor
10:45- Bathroom Break
10:55- Math Centers
11:35- Songs
11:45- Journal about their day
12:00- Pick up on the playground by the North doors.
