2023 NAQT Illinois State Championship - Registration
The 2023 NAQT Illinois State Championship will be held on February 25, 2023 at Centennial High School in Champaign, Illinois. This tournament is open to qualified teams; teams automatically qualify by placing highly at certain tournaments, and non-qualified teams may request wild card bids into the tournament.

The tournament currently has a field cap of 24 teams; if we have enough staffers, we may be able to increase this cap. Filling out this form does not guarantee that your team is in the field. By filling out this registration form, you are requesting a spot in the field for your automatically-qualified team, or requesting a spot for a wild card team. Either way, Tournament Director Brad Fischer will be in contact with you shortly to confirm your status.

The tournament entry fee is $100 per team. Each school is expected to bring a working buzzer system and a staffer for the tournament; please contact the tournament host immediately if you are unable to bring a buzzer or staffer.

Please make checks out to IHSSBCA. You can bring these with you on the day of the tournament, or mail them in advance to:

Team Name *
Please include your school name, as well as "A", "B", etc. designation.
How many working buzzer systems will you bring? *
Schools are expected to bring at least one working buzzer system; additional systems are greatly appreciated.
How many staffers will you bring? *
Schools are expected to bring at least one adult who can volunteer to staff the tournament; if needed, this may be the coach, though it is preferred that each team have an adult chaperone with the team at all times. Volunteers may be needed to moderate or keep score.

Please have each volunteer fill out this Google form ASAP.
Does your team qualify as a Small School team? *
NAQT's definition of "Small School" is two-fold:
*Public schools with 500 or fewer students in their top three grades (which must overlap grades 9–12), and that are the default school for their district.
*All other schools with 350 or fewer students in their top three grades.
Both classifications are labeled "Small School" at NAQT ISC.

At the NAQT ISC, Small School teams play in the same division as non-Small School teams. Trophies are awarded to the top finishing Small School teams, potentially following a Small School-specific final match. Specific details will be announced when the full tournament format is announced.
Do you need an invoice to process payment?
If you mark "Yes", we will provide one to you with the confirmation of your registration. We'll wait to invoice wild card teams that aren't yet in the field; if getting you a provisional invoice in advance is helpful, just let Brad Fischer know.
