Sometimes volunteers continue to be needed up to a week before camp, so it is difficult to know when we are "done" filling spots. Thank you for understanding.
NOTE: we cannot accommodate specific scheduling needs because it gets too complicated. Make sure if you are applying you aren't overextending yourself with other duties (demo bottoming, presenting (including IONs), running a cabin, etc).

Space Flippers
Working with our head space flipper to get our spaces transitioned from day to night and back again! You will work two shifts per day, one prior to classes (around breakfast) and one after classes (around dinner). This position requires physical movement with the possibility of needing to lift up to 50lbs, and for you to attend camp all of Tuesday through Monday. Half of the entry fee will be discounted.
Parking Lot Attendants
Responsible for working with the Parking Lot Supervisor to manage the main parking lot at camp and ensure the parking lot stays organized. This position requires you to be available Tuesday through Friday, working one 4 hour shift each day for a total of 16 hours. The full entry fee will be discounted.
Overnight Gate Security
Staying at the gate overnight to make sure we have no unwanted entry. This is a great position for a person who is a night owl or an early morning bird. This is also a great position for a group of 2-4 people to camp at the gate. You must attend for the entire event, Tuesday through Monday and will be scheduled for 3 nights on duty and 3 nights off duty. The full entry fee will be discounted.
Playspace Monitors
Working under our head PM to monitor the dungeon play spaces. This position requires prior PM experience and verifiable references. There are half and full entry fee discounts available depending on hours worked. Please indicate in the additional information if you prefer half, full, or either.
Dining Hall Attendants
Checking wristbands as people enter the dining hall or serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinner to hungry attendees. This requires that you work two meals each day of attendance (meals are 90 minutes in an air conditioned dining hall). Half of the entry fee will be discounted.
Dining Hall Custodians
These folks bus and wipe down tables, sweep and mop floors, straighten chairs, and fill condiments and get the dining hall looking great after meals. This requires that you work at the end of two meals each day of attendance (in an air conditioned dining hall and outside on the dining deck). Half of the entry fee will be discounted.
Laundry Folder
We need folks to assist laundry staff with sorting, folding, packaging, or distributing clean laundry during the week Thursday - Sunday (midday each day), OR Monday after camp for 8 hours (9am-5pm). Let us know in the notes if you are looking for during the week, Monday after camp, or if you are available for either. A fixed discount of $X will be applied to your entry fee.
Water Cooler Fillers
Keeping our campers hydrated by filling up the water coolers throughout the day. This position requires lifting 5 gallon water jugs (approximately 30 pounds) and for you to attend the entire event, Tuesday through Monday. Half of the entry fee will be discounted.
Infusion Cafe
A fun and lively place that offers service with a smile, the Dark Odyssey Infusion Cafe, is great for attendees with food or service experience. There are many positions from food prep and sandwich construction, to crafting lattes and washing dishes. There are a variety of options for hours and attendance, a fixed discount will correlate with the number of hours volunteered.
Program Ops Assistant
Delivering supplies to presenters, checking in on presenters at the end of their classes, and returning supplies to HQ or their original location after the class has ended. This job requires physical movement and the possibility of needing to lift up to 50lbs. The shifts are in four-hour blocks. This position is scheduled 4 hours each day and requires you to attend camp all week, Tuesday through Monday. The full entry fee will be discounted.
