I/We understand that I/we am/are waiving the right provided by Connecticut General Statutes Section 10-186 for my/our child/children to receive transportation to and from school by the Regional School District No. 6 (hereinafter "RSD6") for the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year currently scheduled to begin on August 28, 2023 (hereinafter the "Waiver Period"). I/We am/are aware that it is RSD6's responsibility to provide the opportunity for such transportation. However, it is our desire to allow RSD6 more flexibility to provide transportation to students. I/We prefer to personnaly provide school transportation for my/our child/children during the Waiver Period and voluntarily accept full responsibility for such transportation.
The parent/parents listed below is/are voluntarily providing such waiver as being in the best interests of the family of the child/children and have carefully reviewed and read this waiver and understand its terms and conditions without reservation. The parent/parents also acknowledge having had ample opportunity to consult with legal counsel of his/her/their choice regarding this waiver and rely wholly upon his/her/their own independent opinion and judgment in submitting this waiver; that no promise, inducement or agreement not expressed in this waiver was made to the undersigned parent/parents regarding this waiver; and that no representations or assertions that may have been made by RSD6 attorneys, employees, agents or any other persons connected with RSD6 in any way influenced or induced them to submit this waiver.
