READ THIS CAREFULLY:
Lack of experience will NOT affect your registration but misinterpreting a question may lead to a misleading answer. Misleading answers will suggest you are exaggerating your credentials and experience. Exaggeration of your skills WILL adversely affect your application. Be sure to READ EACH QUESTION CAREFULLY. For example, when asked how quickly you sew (0 being no experience and 7 being someone who has sewn 8 hours a day in a factory for 20+ years) and you give yourself a high score (4+) because you are the fastest sewer you know -and you have not sewn alongside someone with 20 years of production sewing line experience- your response will be interpreted as exaggeration.
Please rate your industrial sewing skills. Industrial sewing skills are a measure of experience using industrial sewing patterns. If you have only used home patterns, select 1. If you have sewn patterns you made on the basis of enrollment in an accredited program, select 2. You'll get a chance to explain your experience later on.   *
No industrial experience
25+ years of INDUSTRIAL experience.
What are the most common seam allowances used in industrial sewing? Write "Alum" if applicable. *
If you've used an industrial machine, which kinds? If none, write "none".  Write "Alum" if applicable. *
Have you tried any of these industrial sewing tutorials (http://fashion-incubator.com/tutorials/)? If so, which ones? How did these work out for you? Write "Alum" if applicable. *
On a scale of 0 to 7, how quickly do you sew? Calibrate your answer with this: this factory's owner (the fastest sewer except one in the entire history of boot camp) rates herself as a 4. If you use pins, your maximum score is 3. If you've only or mostly used home machines, your maximum score is 3.  98% of past attendees score between 1-3 and we've successfully trained them. 3 is actually a good score. *

Full-time factory stitcher, 20+ years
Rate your industrial cutting skills using a KNIFE. 99.9% of boot campers score 0. If you have only cut at a previous boot camp, your score is 0. Anyone who scores 1+ gets a phone call for clarification. *
