Highwood Library and Community Center Teen Advisory Board (TAB) Application
The Highwood Library and Community Center (HLCC) Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a volunteer group for middle and high school students motivated to support their community, provide guidance for library programs for young adults, do service projects, and develop professional skills. TAB meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month at 12:00pm. TAB members may also be invited to help at other library events or volunteering opportunities outside regular TAB meetings.

Members of TAB must:
  • Be in 6th - 12th grade
  • Be able to attend monthly meetings
  • Be willing to participate in TAB discussions and voice your opinions
  • Be willing to respect the opinions, tastes, privacy, and choices of others

Benefits of TAB membership:
  • Opportunity to provide input for library decisions related to teens and young adults
  • Develop leadership skills
  • Earn service hours and volunteer experience
  • Participation can be listed on job, scholarship, and college applications
