Virginia Environmental Justice Summit Planning Committee Application
The Virginia Environmental Justice Summit is a conference to engage undergraduate and graduate students from throughout the state in multidisciplinary conversations around issues of environmental justice. Its goals are to help attendees learn about environmental justice issues impacting local Virginia communities, build advocacy and activism skills necessary to address those issues, and network with environmental justice activists from universities throughout the state. The first Summit was held on March 28th, 2020 and we hope it will be become an annual event. (Check out our website here: VirginiaEnvJustice.org)

This event is entirely student-driven, meaning that students coordinate and plan all aspects of it. To do this, students form a committee that meets weekly to organize the speakers, logistics, fundraising, and marketing. If you're interested in serving on this committee, please fill out this application. We want anyone and everyone to participate in this committee in any way they feel comfortable, especially representatives from other organizations with similar justice or environmental goals.
