Global Flood Partnership Conference 2024

Welcome to the registration page of the Global Flood Partnership (GFP) Conference 2024, "EW4ALL: Strengthening resilience against flooding - Know, Monitor, Communicate, Respond!". Registration remains open until venue capacity is reached (90) or by June 15th.

This year's meeting will take place on 24 - 26 July 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya, at facilities arranged by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR).

If you are new to the GFP community you may want to have a look at the report of the 2019 GFP Conference in Guangzhou, China: https://www.globalfloodpartnership.org/sites/default/files/2019-06/gfp_2019_final.pdf

Together we will discuss how to best foster the dialogue between scientists and users and how GFP products and expert knowledge can work in synergy to provide key information to emergency managers at different stages before, during and after severe floods.

A draft agenda as well as logistical information (hotel reservation, airport transport, bus shuttle, etc.) will be provided at a later stage at: https://www.globalfloodpartnership.org/node/107

Registration is free!

Similar to the 2023 meeting at NUS in Singapore, there will be various opportunities for participants to present their work and exchange ideas, and make the meeting interesting and lively. This includes a "Marketplace" session, "Ignite talks", an interactive session, and a poster pitch session. and there will be most likely a guided tour. Further down in this web-form you will find explanations of these features and the relevant fields to fill in if you want to participate in any of these. The form is structured as follows:

Section 2: Participant's Data
Section 3: Marketplace session
Section 4: Oral or Poster presentation (here you are welcome to submit an abstract of your contribution)
Section 5: GFP User and Student Awards
Section 6: Interactive (breakout) sessions
Section 7: Comments and Special Requirements

Oral and ignite-talk contributions will be selected by the GFP steering committee. Other works will be presented as posters.

PLEASE NOTE: If the number of people registering for the conference exceeds the limit set by the venue capacity the steering committee will make a selection, based on the proposed contributions to the agenda of the meeting.
