UPDATE APRIL 14TH! We have received an overwhelming amount of donations and for that we are grateful. Over 100 items valued at $25,000+. Any submissions after April 14th for a silent auction donation item will be added to our WAITLIST. If our auction is highly successful we will be able to add more items. You may also contact 902 410 8387 to donate your item to the live event to be sold at the market.

On behalf of the Ukrainian-Canadian Congress, we invite you to support our HalifaxStandWithUkraine fundraiser to be held on April 23 at the John W. Lindsay YMCA from 10am - 3pm. There is no cost to attend this event.

Our volunteer committee is requesting goods or services donations that can be packaged and offered at our online silent auction for the April 23, 2022 event.

As you may know, Ukraine faces a brutal invasion and our goal is to support Ukraine. We are organizing this Festival to raise awareness about Ukraine and its culture, and collect funds to protect people who defend their land. HalifaxStandWithUkraine fundraiser is a way for everyone to help, and all the funds raised go to the Come Back Alive Foundation, a Ukrainian organization created in 2014. These funds will be used to support vital defence strategies, including medical assistance, accoutrements, and defence analysis for the Ukrainian military. Visitors who attend the festival will have the opportunity to enjoy Ukrainian traditions, food, folk crafts, music, dance, arts, and also join a VR tour through Ukrainian cities. We anticipate 1500+ guests and around 50 businesses and vendors who will contribute to the cause. We are currently working on receiving official support from the government of Nova Scotia and HRM. We are widely supported by Ukrainian communities in Canada (the Ukrainian diaspora includes over 1.4 million people).

Please consider getting involved and contributing in any way you can, including donating items to the silent online auction that will run online from April 17th to April 23rd.

* Please note that silent auction donation items are not eligible for tax receipts for this event.

If you are able to make a donation, please complete the Donate Silent Auction Items Form and a member of our volunteer committee will reach out for the collection of donations by April 14, 2022.
