Problem Solving in Advanced Physics
This course is taught by ULMaS Head of Physics Aurora Gutierrez-Sosa and is aimed at Year 13 students who are about to apply to University or wish to take any of the Physics Olympiad Year 13 exams (BPhO Physics Challenge, BAAO Astronomy & Astrophysics Challenge and BPhO Round1, all in November). It is also good preparation for entry exams such as the PAT, ENGAA or physics section of the NSAT.

This course will be running every Monday at 4.30pm and starting from Monday 20th September.

There is no charge to take part in this course but priority will be given to students in state funded schools in the Liverpool City Region.

You will need:
- a quiet place to work at home or school
- a computer or tablet that can join a Zoom meeting (microphone and camera not necessary) [if this is a problem please apply anyway and we'll try to find a way to help]
- to be able to join our Google Classroom (you may need to use a personal Google account for this as your school account may not be able to join our classroom)
- the commitment and time to complete work set outside lessons
- pencil and paper

The course is open to year 13 students in schools in Merseyside and the North West.  You will need to provide a contact email address for the school you attend so that we can check who you are and confirm your suitability for a place.  We will let your school know that you are taking part and may occasionally update them on your progress or contact them if we have any concerns.
